In this section, we will be discussing both the history of the pocket in women’s clothing starting with the Victorian Era all the way to the present day. The pockets in women’s clothing, or the lack thereof, is deeply rooted in Victorian Era culture and has continued to permeate the fashion industry to this day. We will also be discussing why the pockets in women’s clothes are insufficient, as well as the impact that the pocket has on women today.
