Multiracial 'Womanism' (1960s-1980s)

During this period, when the term womanism would first appear, many multiracial 'womanists' raised their voices to end racial inequality and began participation in different movements to fight for their rights. A multitude of civil rights and political orgnaizations like Women of All Red Nations (WARN), Asian American Political Alliance, Indochinese Women's Conference, etc., were formed that advocated for equal political, labor, voting and other important rights that White individuals already seemed to have by this time. Women argued against white supremacy, strove to break racial barriers and challenged stereotypes to achieve success in different areas.
